Wellness World for Kids
“Wellness World for Kids” is an educational program that helps children learn about the basic principles of a healthy lifestyle in an accessible and engaging way. Through themed stations, visual demonstrations, games, and hands-on activities, children learn about healthy eating, physical activity, water, rest, fresh air, and other important aspects of maintaining good health.
Journey to Bethlehem
“Journey to Bethlehem” is an interactive educational program that helps children and adults immerse themselves in the atmosphere of biblical events and learn about the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. Participants travel through themed locations, meet biblical characters, and become witnesses to the events of the Christmas story.Our congregation actively participates in this program together with other Christian congregations in Spokane. We provide Russian-speaking guides for visitor groups, as well as participants who portray key characters in the program. Our choir also takes part in a concert for visitors.The program takes place during the first week of December at South Hill SDA Church.
Journey to the Cross
“Journey to the Cross” is a large-scale Easter program in which our congregation actively participates alongside other Christian churches in the region.The program presents, in a vivid and engaging way, the story of the final days of Jesus Christ’s earthly life—from the events leading up to His crucifixion to Calvary and the Resurrection. Visitors move through a series of themed scenes, meeting biblical characters and witnessing the events that changed the course of human history. Our congregation makes a special contribution to the program. We provide Russian-speaking guides, allowing Russian-speaking visitors to experience the entire “Journey to the Cross” in their native language. Members of our church also take on key acting roles in the biblical scenes. Our church choir plays a special role as well, welcoming and accompanying visitors with music and creating an atmosphere of reflection on Christ’s sacrifice and the hope of the Resurrection.For us, participating in “Journey to the Cross” is an opportunity to serve the people of our city together with other Christians and to share with thousands of visitors the central message of the Gospel—the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.The program takes place at Valley SDA Church, both on its grounds and inside the church building.
Choir Concerts
Christmas Choir Ministry — during the Christmas season, our church choir holds musical concerts for residents and visitors of Spokane. One of the venues is Downtown Spokane Mall, where visitors can hear Christmas and sacred music that points to the biblical meaning of Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ. Spiritual literature is also distributed during the concerts.In the future, we plan to expand this ministry and hold Christmas concerts in other public places throughout Spokane.
